Much as I enjoy these bullshit bulletins, they ultimately do end up reinforcing something, if we stop to think about it, that we already know. And that is that bullshit makes the world go around. Let’s face it, each and every day, we are fed—by our politicians, by media outlets, by social media influencers, by big business—our daily, multiple doses of bullshit. So yeah, thank you The Line for highlighting today’s top-level, numero uno bullshit briefing. But really (and I’m somewhat despondent to even have to admit it) is it a big surprise that politicians sprout bullshit? No, it’s not, is it? Now, what really would be rewarding—not to mention pretty damn surprising—is to read something about someone—somewhere—whose daily regime is not based on bullshit.
